Services/Core Grant

The NINDS-sponsored neuroscience genetics core includes separate mouse and
zebrafish facilities.

Mouse Genetics Core

The mouse genetics component functions as part of the Center for Molecular Neurobiology Transgenic Animal Facility (TAF) with funding provided by institutional sources as well as Core grants to the University from NINDS and NCI. Sidebar links describe mouse core personnel (Scientific Staff), services (Transgenic Services), procedures for accessing the service (Investigator Procedures), and the user fee structure (Transgenic Fees). Cost offsets are available for appropriate projects through the NINDS core grant.

Zebrafish Genetics Core

The Zebrafish Genetics Core has, in part, funded an extensive expansion of the Ohio State University Zebrafish Facility located in Rightmire Hall. In addition, the Core Grant supports personnel and limited funding subsidies to facilitate pilot research projects for Core-eligible faculty utilizing the Zebrafish Facility. Ongoing personnel training and facility use are also supported.
